Dear Dam Loyal Customers, As you know, we had impeccable timing and tried to open in mid-March 2020. Yes, the same weekend the original shut down Order came out. We then opened in June and had a nice but brief run serving and getting to know you as friends. Then came the dizzying on again /off again openings and closures. When the Governor shut us all down again for both indoor and outdoor service 3 weeks ago, we decided that we had had enough of the administrative game of wh...iplash. It’s pretty difficult to operate a quality bar without allowing customers to consume beverages either inside or outside the premises! With the last shutdown Order it became clear that it just wasn’t fair to us, our employees, and, most importantly to YOU, our awesome customers to keep things going under such limiting conditions. You deserve to be served full tilt, without limitations! We are grateful for all of your support and understanding during these unprecedented times. Folsom is truly the best place to live and work in California. We appreciate you, and are so fortunate to be a part of this community. It is tempting to just rebel and open up in the face of the Order, but we do not feel that would be the responsible approach. We intend to be, and remain, a responsible and lawful part of the solution, whatever that may be, and no matter how painful it is; especially for a newly opened business. Consequently, we have made the difficult decision to keep the bar and food shut down for now until we are confident we can reopen in an environment that is healthy and good for this community, and free of the risk of further outside interference. Whether that means we are down for a week, or another 3 months, remains to be seen. Hurry up vaccine! In the meantime, please rest assured that we Dam well intend to welcome you back inside (and out) as soon as we get past this collective community nightmare. Happy New Year 2021! & Thank You Folsom!
