It’s in the best interests of businesses and the public to have data, and clear information on how the Covid 19 pandemic will become history: https://www.nytimes.com//opin/covid-exponential-decay.html
The virus of the incompetent has gotten worse since 2000. Please help.
Flow Communications produced the induction ceremony audio for Metallica’s plaque unveiling outside the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. Also for Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Journey and Bill Graham himself. They were gifted to the SF Public Library for those who cannot look at the bronze discs.
Flow Communications had an artist under contract. The year before, we both attended. There was a pass in the artist’s name. The invite was extended, but alas, a no-show. Last year, Covid cancelled the event.
In 1999, we were predicting Show Business was coming to the worldwideweb. At a streaming media conference, the epiphany led to www.flowstream.com Bowie saw way deeper into the implications and it is beyond 20th Century expectations.
The future is over the horizon. Vision is seeing possibility before reality.
Like Facebook itself, Flow started in the same neighborhood near Stanford. A bunch of the first team lived at 2344 Columbia Street. Some were Stanford Engineering students. All of us met at KZSU Stanford. Flowstream.com was begun for internet audio and content production in 1999, before the "dot bomb."
Flow Communications started as an ad agency with friends from KZSU Stanford. Co-Founder Paul Wells was overnights at KOME 98.5 FM San Jose, California and several of us lived at 2344 Columbia, in the same neighborhood where Facebook was launched out of a similar house. Hewlett-Packard and Apple started in nearby garages. The story is different, but the roots are the same. Those companies got a tad bigger.
Our production of the show is continuous since we signed a deal with iHeartRadio (then Clear Channel) to provide morning show content for then Progressive Talk 960 AM KQKE, The Quake in #sanfrancisco. Since then, we've been on two of their talk stations, KOFY-TV, KSCO AM 1080 Santa Cruz, Facebook Live and as a #Podcast. We did 2020 Election Special 1.0 from Thepunchline and 2.0 from The Shelton Theater. #COVID19 prevented us from returning with a live audience. "Breaking News"
KZAP was among the earliest FM Progressive or Free Form Rock Stations that launched in 1968. That list included Jive95 KSAN SF (along with stations Metromedia also owned in NYC, Cleveland, LA and Philadelphia) and KSJO San Jose. Paul McCartney was still in The Beatles. Who could have predicted over 50 years later that vinyl would be selling Classic Rock would still be a major radio format and Sir Paul would even be singing, let alone Top of the Pops.

Our Co-Founder and CEO has a lifelong battle with being overweight. From 8 to 38, when he lost 92 lbs in 53 weeks. That was Weightwatchers. Struggled during those 30 years before the WW miracle diet of eat right, eat less and move around more, one doctor tried to talk him into Stomach Stapling. In the examination room, the doctor’s own nurse privately warned him. The long term health risk is being suffered by a business associate. Grateful that the nurse informed of possible complications. Does this? Could be a reason it’s underused. https://www.nytimes.com//the-underused-weight-loss-option-?
Not a Spinal Tap bit...
9-11-2001. Always remember. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeNA4R3Xh9E
Our Co-Founder/CEO serves on the Board of Directors of Market Street Railway. The streetcar.org archives had these news stories (6 in all - runs 14 min) on a VHS tape. Transfered to digital on the 25th Anniversary. We had big events planned, but Covid-19 has cancelled this years Muni Heritage Weekend. We are celebrating virtually. Thanks Fiske Video Productions for the quick transfer. More to come in supporting the safe return of these beautiful and popular cars to service on Market Street and out to FIsherman's Wharf.
American Business must stand against racists. They are not Patriots.
Happy 94th Birthday Tony Bennett!
Flow Communications was incorporated on July 24th, 1980. This is the 40th Anniversary. Thank you for this last write up in Radio Waves two years ago, Ben Fong-Torres https://www.sfchronicle.com//Paul-Lobster-Wells-many-anniv
Will and Willie is a Flow Communications production. Runs against the so-called Conservative dominance of the medium. This clip is for Jeff Sessions (and so many others) thrown under the Trump Bus. After our show this past October Will Durst’s stroke (recovering) and #COVID19 has caused closed venues for Live TV/Radio/Podcast programs and fold our Pop-up Studio. Here’s a TV Promo worthy moment.
A lot of people get sucked in by people who make money off "The Law of Attraction." Even if they only have half a grasp of the concept. And, manifestation itself is equal parts luck, hard work and advantage. Here's a look at the hucksters born in privilege. https://gen.medium.com/gwyneth-ivanka-and-the-end-of-the-ef
As the Co-Founder of this company, my first real Summer job was working as a Sub-Carrier at age 18 snd 19, plus one Christmas, as extra young muscle. Either sweating or freezing, the mail must get through. You know the rest. We support #BlackLivesMatter. Many of the Postal Workers are people of color. Veterans as well, who get a special point boost on the tests.
Mount Stupid rises above Assumptionville, in the Country of Vagueonia. https://medium.com//the-dunning-kruger-effect-explains-why
This is worthy as we find our way back. Back to work, yes. But with purpose beyond profit. Kudos to Maryanne Asta and all making the efforts in their communities.
