That's some nice rotoscoping right there. Notice the detail on the mask. File this under "Spending hours on a clip that's only 3 seconds long".

Current Students: Project 1 grades are now on Canvas. Grades sheets with comments/notes have been sent to your GCC email account. Project 2 is due this week, use WETRANSFER.COM to submit your delivery in advance of Thursday's Zoom meeting when you are ready. 221 students who are doing independent projects, if I have seen your storyboards/mood boards then you have received credit for "project 1" in canvas, I will need to see a work in progress render or additional predevelopment within the next week or two to count for your "project 2" score. Let me know if any questions!

Current students - thanks for a great second class meet up on Zoom tonight! I was successful in getting Zoom to record it this time. You'll find the link to the recording under Announcements on Canvas.

Thank you to all of you who attended or tried to attend our first class meet up on Zoom tonight! For the most part it was a success! My apologies to those of you who may have gotten stuck in the 'waiting room' if your connection dropped and then you tried to re-join. I didn't realize it was doing that. I will figure out how to disable that feature for next time, so when you click the link you automatically join the meeting. As I mentioned, I am also open to scheduling individual zoom meet ups to help you with your project. Just let me know. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you next week. Ben

Just to Clarify, on-line class meetings via Zoom will start next week on 3-26. You will receive a meeting invitation email prior to that time. For now, go ahead and set up a free Zoom account and download the software from https://zoom.us/signup so you have it for next week. For this week, if you have After Effects at home, do the Shape Layers exercise in the week 5 folder on Canvas. Then review the Project 2 Direction and look at the examples. Reach out to me with any questions, I'm at my computer and will respond quickly!

Dear Students, Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate you staying with the class. We're all in the same boat dealing with the uncertainty of what's going on right now.... Do not stress this class. I want this class to be a fun, creative outlet for you and something that can take your mind off of what's going on, and fill some of the quarantine time being stuck at home. Do not stress the grade. Everyone who hangs in there this semester and makes a reasonable effort to show some work it going to pass. Some important info for how we're going to move forward: The course is now active on CANVAS. All lesson files, tutorial videos, examples, announcements, and grades will be posted here. Make sure you can access this, and check it each week. Class announcements will be sent via your GCC EMAIL account, as well as posted on FB and CANVAS. Please make sure you are receiving your GCC email (even if you have emailed me from your personal account. Group emails are sent through the college's system, not through my Outlook, so they're automatically going to go to your GCC email). By next Thursday I will start hosting on-line demo / conference time using ZOOM. Please go to https://zoom.us/ and sign up and download the app so you can join in. It's free and easy. You will receive ZOOM invites to your GCC email. You will click the link in the invite and join the conference where I will share my screen and do demonstrations. If your computer has a camera and a mic you'll be able to ask questions, otherwise you'll only be able to watch. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or need any help with any of the exercises or your project. If you do not have access to the software, or have any problems with Canvas, Zoom or your GCC Email, please let me know. Take care, be well and stay positive. We will get through this. Ben
