As part of The Center's efforts to combat anti-Black racism, and in partnership with our Black LGBTQ Community Advisory Committee, The Center is hosting Let’s Talk: Conversations with The Center and our Black LGBTQ Community on Thursday, October 15th from 5-8pm via Zoom. The program will include updates on the work The Center has done since last year’s Black LGBTQ Town Hall and will make space for attendees to share ideas, feedback, and experiences with Center dec...ision-makers to help guide our next steps. This event is aimed at centering Black LGBTQ voices within our community as an opportunity for The Center’s leadership to listen, collect feedback, and ultimately grow in how we can better serve the Black LGBTQ community. If you would like to receive the Zoom link, please RSVP here: http://lgbtcenter.info/LetsTalk For questions and further information please contact Helen Weldeghiorgis at [email protected]

The public is invited to attend a peaceful march and vigil starting at 6:30 PM near the Brawley DMV to Plaza Park on August 1st. This is a call for justice amid violence against our transgender loved ones. To avoid the rise of COVID-19 infections, please wear a face mask and keep social distancing practices. You may follow along in your own vehicle by staying on the right side lane and watch for pedestrians. Don't forget to bring your own water bottle and something comfortable to sit on. We need our community to hear her name #MarchForMarilyn #JusticeForMarilyn.
