We've been struggling with the notion of saying anything about the Black Lives Matter cause. Not because we've been on the fence, far from it, but because we didn't want to seem like we were jumping on some sort of bandwagon. This cause is too important for companies to use it as a marketing ploy. It's too important for companies to idly say "me too". Mostly, we didn't want to make BLM about us, because it's not about us. It's about protecting our brothers and sisters who are... dying. It's about holding a magnifying glass up to the parts of our society that keep minorities from becoming equal. It's about you. However, we decided that we wanted to let you know that you are safe with us. We respect and cherish you. We worry about you in the same way a family should worry about each other. Not because it's the "hip" thing to do in the moment, but because it's what family does. So brothers and sisters, please know that we are using our voice to support you because it's what you deserve. Black Lives Matter.

After much deliberation, we have decided to postpone our season, including Maple and Vine until later this year. We felt that this was the responsible decision as we don't want to put our audiences or cast and crews in danger. So please join us for the remainder of our season starting in June! We'll still be in touch! Thank you so much! (All dates are still subject to change pending COVID-19's development.)

Errant Phoenix Productions 26.10.2020

Due to concerns about COVID-19, Errant Phoenix has decided to postpone the opening of Maple and Vine by a week to help protect our cast, crew, and audiences. The new run dates will be March 20-April 5, 2020. If you have purchased tickets for this weekend's run, we will move your tickets to another performance of your choice. Please email Karina at [email protected] to choose your new date. We're very sorry for this late change of plans, but we feel this is the best option at this time and appreciate your understanding. We do not plan to cancel any further dates of this run at this time. This cast and crew have worked too hard to cancel our dates altogether, so we hope that you'll still come out and support our arts.

Maple and Vine Cast Spotlight: Elizabeth Dean "Elizabeth Dean is excited to be doing Maple and Vine with this insanely talented cast! Her last role was as Marianne in Errant Phoenix's production of "Constellations". Previously, she was seen as Lurlene in EMH Productions "Daddy's Dyin', Who's Got the Will" and Austin in the dark comedy, "Sister Cities" for Resurrection Theatre. Elizabeth has also been seen on the TAAC stage in "Midsummer Nightmare 6" (Admiral Ack), "Steel Magn...olias" (Annelle), "Macbeth" (Ross), and "Kimberly Akimbo" (Pattie). In 2016 she took on the role of Producing Artistic Director for Errant Phoenix Productions (previously TAAC.) Elizabeth wishes to thank her husband, Greg, daughter, Harper, and new baby, Parker, for their love and support. She also gives special thanks to her mother and father for instilling in her the love of theatre and art and thanks the cast and crew for making this production such a rewarding experience." What can’t Liz do? She’s our Artistic Director, she’s directed so many intense and complex productions, and her acting leaves you on the edge of your seat. In every show she’s involved in, she brings an unmatched vision that lights up the whole stage. Now she’s here to take you on Katha’s journey as she spirals deeper and deeper into the Society of Dynamic Obsolescence. Just a few more days until we open! Get those tickets now! https://mapleandvinesac.bpt.me/

Maple & Vine Cast Spotlight: Connor Dick! "You haven't read an actor's bio more recently than Connor Dick! He is overjoyed by the opportunity to work again with Errant Phoenix Productions, after joining them for their 2019 production of Fuddy Meers. Previous roles in the Sacramento area include the role of Riley for the Sactown 10-minute play festival, ensemble in the 2019 production of Wit for Big Idea Theatre and Titus Lartius in their 2015 production of Coriolanus; past fa...vorite roles include Peter in Prelude to a Kiss and Macduff in staged readings of Macbeth through Common House Productions." We really enjoyed working with Connor during Fuddy Meers, but with such a comedic show, he wasn't able to truly display his dramatic talents. And now that we've seen that side of him, we're absolutely awestruck! He's hilarious, he's heartbreaking, he's catty... he's the whole package! Our production is so lucky to have him! See this chameleon of characters in Maple and Vine! We open FRIDAY! https://mapleandvinesac.bpt.me/

Maple and Vine Cast Spotlight: Mo Altair Kasim "Mo Kasim graduated from Temple University with a Ba in Psychology and Criminal Justice. In February of ‘95 he was briefly the youngest person alive and was once described on a report card as courteous and cooperative. He will be making his stage debut with Errant Phoenix Production’s Maple and Vine and is grateful to the directors and his castmates for allowing him to be a part of it." Have you ever met someone who was born insa...nely talented at something? They put their mind to do it one day and end up being so good that you'd think they were lying to you and had been studying it their entire life? That's Mo with acting. When he came in to auditions, he blew the director away. Then when we discovered that this is his first show, we were dumbfounded. Truly, you'll be amazed how good he is! Come see this modern marvel of acting in Maple and Vine! https://mapleandvinesac.bpt.me/
