My husband worked as a shuttle bus driver in Yosemite from 2019-2020. It was his favorite job on earth...until the pandemic took it all away. The park shut down all transportation, terminated all yosemite bus drivers, and evicted them from their homes.... Yosemite literally was our second home. While we still frequent often, we dearly miss all the nights and mornings we got to spend here. I’m so thankful for all the memories and experiences we have to look back on, & fellow yosemite employees we got to befriend. guess what... WE BOUGHT A DRONE!! & here’s our very first drone reel we captured from this weekend’s engagement session at the dunes with @sydnrsc & @deanovinci! (photos to follow!!) not too bad for our first drone film, eh?! special thanks to my talented husband @chadkdavis for testing out our new toy and capturing all the footage while i took photos! ... ps. please convince my husband to do video with me full time, kay?? lol (he’s so good at it, he doesn’t even realize!!)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! holy cow, i’m finally back!! it feels like a million years since my last post (and quite honestly it has been ). i originally didn’t intend to not post for as long as i did, and at times i felt guilty for it.. but the break was honestly SO NEEDED. i think i might even implement this idea intentionally each year. ... and guess what?! my business hasn’t suffered or slowed in any way because of it. in fact, my inbox has been so flooded with new inquires, i’m having a hard time keeping up! here’s a few little updates (or pupdates ) since i’ve been gone! 1. we adopted a new fur babe!! (peep the second photo!) his name is Bruce, and he is THE SWEETEST BOY! we rescued him from the shelter, and have been so lucky to find such a good boy! he loves sleeping, car rides, & belly rubs! i can’t wait to eventually train him to come along to a few of my sessions with me! 2. we officially reached one month of marriage, and so far it’s been SO FUN!! perks of marrying your best friend is the endless sleepovers! we took our bridal portraits with @valoryandbenny in a place so dear to us (yosemite)! (peep the third photo) more of these in a future post )! i’m seriously so stoked to be back to work today, and finishing up my last three galleries from 2020! can you believe i delivered around 10+ galleries last month?! crazy!! thank you to each and every couple that kept their wedding dates last year and kept me busy, & at times, quite literally, helped put food on my table. so thankful i didn’t have to come up with more barbie concepts and got to shoot actual real people . also relieved to have my own wedding stress behind me, so i can truly focus on all the weddings to come this year. congrats to all the newly engaged!! i can’t wait to be a part of so many of your love stories this year! READY FOR YOU 2021!

aaaand WE’RE MARRIED!!!! 11.22.20 was easily one of the best days of my life, cause i got to marry my best friend. 2020 put us through the ringer getting here.. but with the help of an amazing team, we finally did the dang thing.

yesterday’s wedding... MIC DROP. congrats Abbey + Zac!!!! i don’t even know where to begin with this incredible day. what an honor it was to photograph such a gorgeous wedding, for a gorgeous couple!! such an amazing way to wrap up my last big wedding before my very own this weekend!!! ahhhh!!

i know i say this all the time, but yesterday’s wedding was a dreammm! so honored to be a part of such a beautiful day, at a the most beautiful venue, with a beautiful couple, and dream team of vendors! congrats to nick + karissa!!

can we get into our feelings together for a sec? ok, cool. anyone other small business ever feel like they’re not doing enough?! i’m literally the busiest i’ve ever been, lately: planning our 2020 wedding next month, moving in, & preparing our new home for renovation, shooting every week, editing/emailing in between... yet i look around, and somehow still feel..behind?! i had to turn down a ton of job opportunities this year. i’ve always struggled to say no to things. esp...ecially during a year i could use the money the most. however, one of the biggest lessons i’ve learned in all the years of doing this, is to do what’s best for me and my business. i know now not to stretch myself too thin. i’m learning to recognize what season of life i’m in, & to step back when i need to. i’m learning when i need to just be still, and be okay. the truth is, there will always be someone out there that is doing more, and even doing it better. but my friend, comparison is a slippery slope. social media is never truly what it seems. even the most successful seeming people, still wrestle with these things. we’re all just humans trying to figure out how to live life the best way we know how. so give yourself more credit, babe. you’re enough, and you’re freakin’ doing great.
