Hey, it’s us! It’s been a while since we have connected on Instagram, so we wanted to share what we’ve been up to! As many businesses and individuals have experienced, 2020 has been a year unlike any other. It has presented challenges we never expected to face, but has also lead to a deep appreciation for the things we have and the people we love. The growth we anticipated for this year has looked drastically different than we planned, but we are happy doing our part to ...help keep our community healthy. We’ve had to pivot, we’ve had to get creative. As the pandemic has changed the event industry in this season, we still feel fortunate that we can bring our skills as photographers to a new endeavor. One highlight of our awesome trip to Texas: Jackson falling asleep on my shoulder while we walked around south congress in Austin. Some pictures won’t get hundreds of likes on Instagram. And we’re A-OK with that. Because we’re not shooting for the Insta-glory. It was free, there was no line, and Jackson got to chat with him for basically as long as she wanted. After she said hello, she told him that his coat was very soft. This was a pretty great idea.Riza and Jimmy wanted an unplugged wedding ceremony, but they also knew that their guests would be itching to get at least one shot on their cell phones.So their officiant made an announcement in the beginning of the ceremony: you have 30 seconds to take all the photos you want with your iPhones, then we’ll all put away our phones and trust the photographers to get the rest! Okay, go for it! The guests were happy, the couple was happy, we were happy and everyone was laughing. Win-win! You can see more moments like this on our new blog post! Story time! This was the most delightful grand edit, and I’ll tell you why. After the amazing bride and groom ran through the bubbles and into their car, the party didn’t stop. The guests were still lined up with their bubbles in hand, when someone noticed the gelato vendor was nearby waiting to get through to his car. Within seconds, the crowd united in cheering for the gelato man, blowing bubbles of celebration, each one a soapy thank-you for the delicious treat he ha...d served us all. The smile on his face was priceless as he ran through the tunnel. Next up? The wedding coordinator was not far from the tunnel, when she was ushered through with the same excitement. Then bubbles were blown for the parents of the couple, and the bridesmaids took their lap of glory. (The crowd and the laugher was not letting up. This was way too much fun.) Then, to my own surprise, a voice started to chant, Photographers! Photographers! We couldn’t ignore the invitation. We ran to the beginning of the line and took our very own turn, laughing the whole way through. I turned my camera around and snapped a selfie, as it seemed like the only logical thing to do. And that blurry photo of my forehead is one I will never forget. See more
