Happy, healthy puppies require enrichment! Toys, puzzles, and games allow them to engage their natural behaviors of playing, chasing, smelling, and scavenging. This puppy puzzle box provides enrichment, stimulation, and important socialization to textures, sounds, and close spaces.... oh, and it's a whole lot of fun! #DogsInHarmony #HarmonySchool #Puppy #Samoyed #PuppySchool #Sunnyvale

Working on (and over, and around!) unstable surfaces is an important part of socialization. Introducing puppies to unexpectedly unstable surfaces, new textures, and different items like ramps and stairs helps puppies gain confidence when walking in all kinds of unexpected environments. Walking over new surfaces might be something that we take for granted, but if a puppy isn't properly socialized to different surfaces and terrain, they may refuse to climb stairs, resist walking on wooden floors, or put on the brakes when you need to cross a street with a manhole cover or grate. These unstable surfaces also aid in the development of motor skills and strength! #DogsInHarmony #HarmonySchool #PuppyTraining #PuppySchool #Socialization #Puppy #ScottishTerrier

It's hard to believe our little Bubba graduated #HarmonySchool last week! Today we look back on his first week of school and appreciate how much he grew during his time with us! Bubba came to us a typical Scottie-- full of personality! He was always super lovey and adorable, and grew to become a confident, focused puppy who matched play styles with so many of the other puppies in the program. We love you Bubba! #DogsInHarmony #PuppySchool #ScottishTerrier #Scottie

How do we start? How long should it take? Is my puppy peeing behind the sofa just to spite me? Puppy potty training we’ve all been there (or, if you’re reading this as you prepare for a puppy you’ll be there soon!). It’s not always easy, and how to start can be confusing. In today’s blog post we’ll give you the scoop on potty training and offer some things to do (and avoid) to make the training a bit easier. https://www.harmonydogs.net//p/the-scoop-on-potty-training
