Working on (and over, and around!) unstable surfaces is an important part of socialization. Introducing puppies to unexpectedly unstable surfaces, new textures, and different items like ramps and stairs helps puppies gain confidence when walking in all kinds of unexpected environments. Walking over new surfaces might be something that we take for granted, but if a puppy isn't properly socialized to different surfaces and terrain, they may refuse to climb stairs, resist walking on wooden floors, or put on the brakes when you need to cross a street with a manhole cover or grate. It's Lester! This little Maltipoo has huge personality! Today we look back on all of the things he learned in his first week of #HarmonySchool . Lester is taking on new challenges with enthusiasm and confidence, from basic obedience to tackling stairs, wobbles, and even trampolines. Great job, Lester!

Congratulations to Cori, a new #HarmonySchool graduate! Cori is a handsome young Mini Aussie who is super affectionate and loves learning new things! Cori has made huge progress in his weeks at school, particularly in areas of independence training and confident, appropriate play behavior. It's hard to believe our little Bubba graduated #HarmonySchool last week! Today we look back on his first week of school and appreciate how much he grew during his time with us! Bubba came to us a typical Scottie-- full of personality! He was always super lovey and adorable, and grew to become a confident, focused puppy who matched play styles with so many of the other puppies in the program.
