RSVP [email protected] for Zoom info. From Ms. Higuera’s firm website: Priscilla Higuera, née Salgado, focuses solely on the practice of immigration law. She has represented hundreds of clients in deportation proceedings. She has successfully litigated asylum, cancellation of removal, and Convention Agai...nst Torture claims. In addition to litigation, she has extensive experience in appellate matters and has represented clients before the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. As a first-generation U.S. citizen, Ms. Higuera understands the many challenges immigrants encounter upon arriving to the United States. With these challenges in mind, she has structured her firm in a manner that minimizes the stress and anxiety that is typically accompanied with obtaining lawful status. Ms. Higuera is a graduate of California Western School of Law, and received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada. She is admitted to practice law in California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. See more

Hi Students, Are you interested in food and drug law? The Food and Drug Law Institute, a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution, is pleased to host the Food and Drug Law Journal 2020 Symposium, which is complimentary to full-time students. In collaboration with the Georgetown University Law Center and the O’Neill Institute of Global and National Health Law, this year’s topic, This Teachable Moment: How COVID-19 Provides Lessons from FDA’s Past and Present That Will Ben...efit Its Future Preparedness, takes place on November 1213 as a completely virtual program. This academic Symposium will focus on the federal response to COVID-19 and potential legislative and regulatory changes that might help inform federal agencies’ responses to future pandemics, including discussion of thoughtful scholarship from authors on issues such as legislative innovation, the pharmaceutical supply chain, vaccine-related liability, FDA’s One Health initiative, Emergency Use Authorizations, regulation of personal protective equipment, and new diagnostic tests. Authors will present their papers, followed by commentary from speakers and a moderated discussion.
