Congratulations to all the graduating seniors from SCTA at Chico State!!
Our last senior highlight goes to our SCTA President Name: Esmeralda Rodriguez Major: Liberal Studies Minor: Special Education... Favorite memory at Chico State: Living in Lassen Hall and attending HUB Production events. I met some of my best friends and made so many memories in the dorms and by attending events. Tips for incoming students: GET INVOLVED & GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE! Clubs not only gave me some of the best experiences and skills, but also transformed my Chico experience. The amazing people I met and the memories I made is what makes saying goodbye so difficult!! Plans after graduation: I am beyond happy to say I will be completing a Concurrent Multiple Subject and Education Specialist Program at Chico State
Our next senior highlight goes to our outstanding SCTA Event Coordinator/Recruitment Chair Name: Isabel Perez Meza Major: Bilingual Liberal Studies Minor: Spanish ... Favorite Memory at Chico State: My favorite would be working as a Teachers Assistant at the local Dual Immersion Rosedale Elementary. The teachers I worked with taught me so much and I am eternally grateful for them! I cannot forget to mention all the wonderful students I was lucky to work with who where my reason to wake up every morning!!! Tips for incoming students: Major in what YOU want not what others want you to do. Be fearless and try NEW THINGS! Be open-minded and step out of your comfort zone! Live your college years to the fullest because they fly by! Plans after graduation: I will be attending San Diego State this upcoming fall to receive my Bilingual Teaching Credential! Further on in the future I plan on TEACHING ABROAD!!!
This senior spotlight goes to our incredible SCTA Historian Name: Seyde Camargo Major: Bilingual Liberal Studies & Spanish (Pre-Credential)... Favorite Memory at Chico State: Honestly too many to think of but many involve countless hours at the library and amazing moments with new faces! Tips for incoming students: Be involved! Try new things, socialize, meet new people and never stop trying to be the best self you can be. Plans after graduation: I’ll be completing a Multiple Subject Bilingual Authorization Credential Program at CSU Chico!
Celebrating our graduating seniors!! Next is our fabulous SCTA Publicity Coordinator Name: Cassandra Reveles Major: Bilingual Liberal Studies... Minor: Spanish Favorite Memory at Chico State: I have so many memories! Chico has become my second home. I would have to say one of my favorite memories was my freshman year welcome week because I was able to meet many people who played such an important role in my college years. I’ll never forget all the friends I’ve made in these past few years. Tips for incoming students: Take classes of your interest. I took an aerobics class two semesters and it was definitely my stress reliever! Also, remember to have fun and try new things out! These years are definitely some of the best years of your life, don’t let them go to waste! Plans after graduation: I am happy to say that I will be starting the Chico State Bilingual Credential Program. Hopefully I’ll be teaching in a dual immersion school after that.
Our next senior highlight goes to our amazing SCTA Treasurer Name: Catalina Patterson Major: Bilingual Liberal Studies Minor: Spanish... Favorite Memory at Chico State: Too many honestly! I’d have to say that being apart of organizations definitely brought me out of my comfort zone and I’m grateful I gained a lot of knowledge by being apart of them. Tips for incoming students: Get involved on campus! You’ll meet more/new friends, grow your resume and create a lot of wonderful experiences and memories! Plans after graduation: Travel the world and attend SDSU to receive my Bilingual Teaching Credential!
