CALIFORNIA ELEMENTARY PARENTS!! **PLEASE READ ALL DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY** What: Distribution of Back to School bags for all TK-6 students. ... Where: California School MPR When: Friday, August 21, 2020 Who: Parents/Guardians of all California TK-6th grade students. If your child will enroll in NMUSD’s Cloud Campus, you are also invited. Directions: * Park in any available parking stall in the California parking lot during your assigned time on August 21st. * Please wear a face covering and follow social distancing protocols by lining up at the MPR door near our school’s front office, standing 6 feet apart from other California parents. * When invited, enter the MPR to retrieve your child(ren)’s pre-packaged supplies. Staff members will be inside to direct you and help keep the flow of foot traffic in one direction. Chromebooks: * Transitional Kindergarten & Kindergarten Families: Your child will receive a district-issued Chromebook when you retrieve yourBack to School bag. 5 Incoming 5th Grade Families: Your child will be issued a new Chromebook and charger. If your child was issued a Chromebook last year, please bring this old device and its charger with you so that we may exchange it for a new one. * If your child is in grades 1-4, or 6, the district will continue to support you via NMUSD’s Care and Support Line at 714-424-5050. Unfortunately, we will not have enough available Chromebooks on site to support these grade levels. Please be patient with our IT Department. They are inundated at the moment, but they will get you the device you need. Please email me directly if you are not getting the support you need. * Exit the MPR through the back door. In order to provide a safe environment with appropriate social distancing for our large school community, please do your very best to arrive during the assigned time that corresponds with your child’s last name. A-G 8:00 AM 9:00 AM H-M 9:00 AM 11:00 AM N-R 11:00 AM 12: 00 PM S-Z 12:00 PM 1:00 PM If you are unable to make it on Friday, please plan on stopping by our school MPR on Monday, August 24th anytime between 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. As an alternative, you may ask another California family to pick up your child’s belongings. To do so, please email Susi Jimenez ([email protected]) to inform her of the family’s name. The email communication will serve as the permission granted. Although we’ll need to maintain our distance, we are very much looking forward to reconnecting with our community (and welcoming new families) at our distribution event.
