In our garden we learn about indigenous cultivation methods as well as the plants they historically grow for food and what is native to our region. Here is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about these practices and our effect on these food systems from Native voices. The new documentary film, Gather, which explores the effects of colonization on Indigenous diets, the resilience of Indigenous foods, and food sovereignty. Join us for a free film screening and discussion forum for the film that will be held this Wednesday (11/25) beginning at 5 pm PST. The discussion forum will include some fantastic Indigenous activists, leaders, and scholars, including Sammy Gensaw III, who is featured in the film.
