Putting Our Hearts Into Finding A Cure Brighton Collectibles in Dos Lagos to direct donations to The Foundation for Community and Family Health After almost a decade of supporting breast cancer charities with over $3.9 million in donations, Brighton’s passion for this cause is unwavering. To continue making a difference for the many thousands of women and families who have been challenged by this disease the accessory company’s own designers have once again created a speci...al piece of jewelry that will be available from September 30th through the month of October. This year’s limited-edition bracelet features a dangling heart-shaped charm with pave crystals in pink hues on one side and the signature pink ribbon on the reverse. Brighton Collectibles in Dos Lagos will contribute $10 for each $50 bracelet sold from September 30 to October 31 to The Foundation for Community and Family Health. Brighton’s founder and owner, Jerry Kohl, explains the sentiment behind the promotion: "We're proud that we've walked the walk and talked the talk, and that again this year we will be giving $500,000 to breast cancer charities while most companies that are much larger do not contribute as much. Together, with the wonderful customers who support our Power of Pink campaign, we are helping to fund the cure that we all hope will come soon!" Breast cancer strikes not just the elderly and middle-aged but thousands in their 20s and 30s. Last year over 260,000 women and 1900 men were newly diagnosed. About 39,840 women in the U.S. die from breast cancer each year. Those are sobering facts but, with treatment advances, early detection and increased awareness, since 1990, death rates have decreased by about 2% each year. Many more lives still need to be protected, so Brighton ensures that their charity donations are used effectively by worthy organizations working to find the cure we all hope will come soon. In addition to jewelry, Brighton Collectibles offers a broad-ranging assortment of finely crafted handbags, belts, footwear, small leather essentials, eyewear, luggage, fragrances and gifts.
