Dear Residents, The City of Livingston is experiencing some water capacity and water quality issues. Unfortunately we lost two of our water Wells (Number 9 and Number 11). The production loss of the two Wells has also caused Foster Farms to modify their poultry operations. We are working around the clock to identify and contract Well vendors and Well Companies to help alleviate the losses. They will be pulling the Wells and identifying remedies. Parts will then need to b...e ordered and Wells will then need to be disinfected and of course this takes a few days. A lot of the parts sometimes need to be manufactured because they are not readily available as a shelf item. We apologize for all the inconveniences that this may cause you and we appreciate your patience. We recommend that residents who might be experiencing sand issues remove aerators from faucets and run faucets for approximately 10 minutes or until no signs of sand exists. If you are experiencing discoloration in your system, please call the Public Works Department so we can look at flushing the nearest fire hydrants. Should you have any questions regarding this issue, feel free to call City Hall or the Public Works Department at your convenience.

Effective immediately, the Subsistence Payment Program, which provides, Rent, Mortgage, and Utility Assistance program will no longer offer rental assistance. Rental assistance will be available through an Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) administered by the State of California. The ERAP program is scheduled to begin March 2021. On January 29, 2021, Governor Newsom announced that eviction protections for California renters have been extended through June 30, 2021.
