It is with a sad heart that the City of Bakersfield, along with the Good Neighbor Festival Committee, must announce the cancellation of the 2020 Good Neighbor Festival, which is traditionally held in October at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park. We would like nothing more than to provide our community members with a fun filled day full of games, entertainment, accesses to available resources, and fellowship. However, with the current restrictions in place, we would not be able to meet current guidelines with the large amount of participants who attend our festival. We plan to conduct the event next year on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park. We hope you will save the date and join us for this very special day.
