To help enforce health and safety emergency orders, #SantaMonica's Code Enforcement COVID-19 teams will be active across the City monitoring for non-permitted business, gatherings, and individuals not wearing face coverings over the New Year holiday and into the weekend.
If you traveled outside of LA County during the holidays, the @CountyofLA requires that you quarantine at home for 10 days to slow the spread of #COVID19.
Every time you leave your home, you increase your risk of contracting #COVID19. Watch Councilmember Christine Parra's holiday safety message asking our community to wear a mask and to be a health advocate by not gathering this holiday. http://ow.ly/MUcY50CWq1l
In 2020, the City of Santa Monica focused on saving lives and supporting our entire community through the COVID-19 public health emergency. We look forward to working together in 2021 as we begin to stabilize after the winter COVID-19 surge, advance racial equity projects underway, and make progress on the regional challenges of homelessness and affordability exacerbated by the pandemic. Take a look at key highlights from 2020, here http://ow.ly/dM7L50CWqAd
Some #SantaMonica families are finding it harder to make ends meet during the pandemic. Let's come together and help The City of Santa Monica raise $30,000 to support local families and individuals experiencing food insecurity! To donate and get involved, visit calfund.org/wearesantamonica.
Santa Monica has recorded the 10 highest days of new cases since the start of the pandemic over the last 19 days. While this upward trend of new cases may not seem high, it adds up to 530 neighbors, friends or family in our community who are sick and can infect others unknowingly before they have symptoms. To slow the spread, please stay home, wear a mask and do not gather.
