Today at approximately 113 pm, Ione PD received a call from the Ione Junior High School about a loud bang near the area of the school. The Ione Junior High School went into Lockdown mode as a precaution. Ione PD arrived on scene and determined it to be a blown transformer. The cause of the incident was an animal. PG&E and the Ione FD assisted to restore power to the local residents effected with a power outage.
