Dear Patients, We are doing our part to stay informed, stay healthy and be preventive. The CDC has recommended actions for dentist so we want to share with our patients: "Dentists are advised to continue to screen all patients for recent travel to any locations confirmed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to have confirmed cases of COVID-19, also known as the new coronavirus, which first appeared in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. Any travel completed between ...December and now is considered recent travel. "If the patient reports that at least two weeks have passed since their return from one of the CDC-reported countries and no symptoms have presented, the dental office can proceed with the appointment. Dentists should also advise patients who are experiencing acute respiratory illness, including symptoms of fever, cough or shortness of breath, to remain home and reschedule appointments." -February 28, 2020 Infection Control CDA.org Please see the link below for more information. https://www.cda.org//coronavirus-and-patient-screening-rec If you have recently travelled to the locations noted above and two weeks have passed since your return with no symptoms, there will be no changes to your scheduled appointment; however, we may do additional screening if necessary.

The California Dental Association strongly recommends that dentists practicing in California voluntarily suspend non-urgent or non-emergency dental care for the next 14 days. Due to the CDA recommendation, Louie Family Dentistry has elected to close our office for the next two weeks. Take care of yourselves and follow the guidelines. See you all soon!
