Did you know that the World Senior Citizen's Day is celebrated on 21 August each year? It was first proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 14, 1990 celebrations took place for the first time on 1 October 1991. So if you are lucky enough to still have an elderly family member or friend in your life, don't forget to reach out to them on Friday and tell them just how much they mean to you.
