We lost a great man Monday night; he was a true believer in Salinas and his leadership will be missed by us all. God speed my friend RIP Mayor Joe Gunter.

Gilroy Garlic Festival is a wonderful event for the community. This senseless tragedy is heartbreaking. 4 dead and 15 wounded by a shooter this afternoon. Thank you first responders for you quick and accurate response. All my prayers go out to everyone affected by this tragedy.

Beautiful day at work he farmers market in Salinas

I’m having a hard time thinking that it is a momentous occasion that there is a Women’s Amateur Tournament playing at Augusta today. I realize that this is the premier golf playground; but to celebrate that they are finally letting women play a tournament on this all men’s venue makes me sad. Sad that we still live in a world that allows men to tell us where we can and can not go is a travesty. These women are rocking this course! Glad You pulled your head out of your ass Augusta!

Celebrate women tomorrow all over the world, for our many accomplishments, sacrifices and contributions. Thank you Mr. Mayor Joe Gunter for remembering that we are leaders in our communities and thank you Steve McShane for your kind words at council Tuesday night.
