Getting Real 2020 kicks off today! Join the International Documentary Association in this biennial conference on documentary media. With the events online this year, it's easy to join and learn from, challenge, support and inspire each other as members of a documentary ecosystem.

Catapult grantees Jim LeBrecht (CRIP CAMP) and Dawn Porter (TRAPPED) discuss diversity and inclusion, or lack of, in documentary filmmaking. These filmmakers are changing the dialogue and we all have to participate. As Roger Ross Williams says, "The documentary community is seen as progressive and ahead of the game. In the entertainment business the dirty little secret is the documentary community is not that ahead of the game. We have a lot of work to do.
