To wrap up National Poison Prevention Month, let's cover the 10 most common toxins that our dogs and cats ingest or come into contact with according to the Pet Poison Helpline! Find the list here: https://www.petpoisonhelpline.com//bas/top-10-pet-poisons/... Let's all work together to keep our medications, poisons, and unsafe plants away from where our pets can access them!

For week three of National Poison Prevention Month, let's familiarize ourselves with human medications that don't play well with our four legged family members. NSAIDS and pain relievers like Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and Aleve are overall safe for humans, but that isn't the case for our pets. Similarly, anxiety medications and ADHD medications can be dangerous even in small doses. While we all strive to keep our medications safely stored away from pets, it never hurts to know which are dangerous and which are safe. With voluntary closing of schools and some businesses, we want you to know that we are still open our normal hours to help keep everyones' fur-kids healthy and happy! Due to school closures, we'll have less staff than normal so our staff members with kids can be home. Please be sure to call ahead of time and schedule any visits (including visits that would normally be "walk-ins") you'd like to have so we can provide the best care without excessive wait times! Here's to staying healthy for us and our pets!
