The Rise Program is seeking for tutors! Tutoring with the Rise Program is a great way to give back to the community and work with local school students to help them succeed in math and science. For the fall term, tutoring will be online only. For more info and to apply go to https://www.caltechy.org/rise-tutor The Rise Program is a afterschool math and science tutoring program for public school students between grades 8 and 12. The program is in its fourteenth year and helps... students who are struggling in math or science (getting a C or below). The tutoring will take place online, Monday-Thursday from 4pm-5:30pm. The program is designed to help students gain greater competency in math foundations, improve skills in math and science, and prepare students for college-level math and science. Tutors work with 1-2 students and when possible work with the same student(s) throughout the year. If you are interested in the Rise Program, but not able to make a regular commitment, please consider tutoring in the Y-Tutor Program. Y-Tutor is an online, drop-in tutoring program for students in 6th-12th grade that started in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to support a wider audience of Pasadena Unified School District students. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us by email at [email protected]
