Northwood Men's Golf Club held their championship rounds in October and here is the results. Club Championship Update! Here we go. ... We had seven winners in three categories. Club Champion with the Low Gross score of 163 - Randy Sthytmmel 2nd Place Low Gross with the score of 170 - Bob OBalle 3rd Place Low Gross with the score of 175 - Lee Warren Low Net Champion with a score of 148 - Paul Peloso 2nd Place Low Net with a score of 151 - Dennis King 3rd Place Low Net with a score of 156 - James Stadig And finally the Senior (over 55) Low Net Champion with a score of 151 - Mike Fauss. There was a tie at 151 with Dennis King, but the tie breaker went to Mike Fauss. There you have it, thanks again for all who participated. This was posted by our Marshall Chuck on his page and it seemed like a good thing to share. ....I was thinking about my last round on Friday while reading in "Golfweek Magazine" as they talked about social distancing on the course. There are the usual things we have heard, avoid "high fives," wear masks around the Pro Shops and first tees, don't gather after the round and so on. ... But then they brought something up I never thought of, "mark your ball clearly." I thought about this because during my last round, I did in fact, pick up a ball twice to see who's it was. Now granted, that wasn't necessary, but when helping a buddy find his ball, I did it. Now anyone who has played with me know that I scribble my name on my ball twice so I can see it from a mile away and nobody gets confused, but think about it next time you mark your ball. Is it clear/big/bright enough for others to see it without having to touch it. In theses times of being safe of Covid-19, it's just another little step. Hopefully you are all being safe out there and hitting them long and straight. (unless it's a dogleg then bend it like Beckham!)
