Responsibilities include scheduling patients, maintaining coordination of treatment related activities and perform patient education. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for efficient delivery of treatments with maximum patient satisfaction while following department policy for acquiring digital portal images to verify accurate patient treatment position and record all treatment parameters in patient chart. Monitor patients for unusual reactions and events, reporting occur...rences to the Radiation Oncologist, Resident and/or Clinic Nurse. Review charts and all treatment parameters to ensure compliance with department QMP and perform periodic chart checks for completeness of documentation. The Radiation Therapist will also provide daily quality assurance on treatment units. Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience/Education: Physical strength to assist or lift impaired patients from a wheel chair or stretcher Physical strength to lift accessories weighing up to 40 pounds and physical reach to work with equipment as high as 5-6 feet above the floor Adapt quickly to change and demonstrate ability to analyze and solve complex problems efficiently Preferred minimum 3 years of Proton Therapy Radiation Experience AART Required Aria Experience BA Preferred
