Calling all Junior Members ages 12 to 21. Holstein USA has a new and exciting opportunity for you to participate in! The Holstein Association's virtual interview contest was designed to help prepare you for real world experiences and sharpen your resume writing and interview skills. Youth will be split into three categories based on age and each division will be applying for a different mock scenario. Members in the senior division will have a chance to win up to $500 and members in the youth and intermediate divisions will have a chance to win up to $250. Once you have read the instructions, email your resume and cover letter to [email protected] by November 1st.

You won’t want to miss out on helpful resume and cover letter feedback or the opportunity to win cash prizes! Resumes and cover letters are due November 1st. Here are a few tips for your to help you get started on your resume and cover letter: - No typos! Be sure to use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. - Proofread your work very carefully and ask others to do the same for you before you submit anything. - Readability is key. Choose a professional, clean font style that is easy to read. - Tell your story. This is your chance make a memorable first impression. But you don’t have to tell your whole life story just enough to get the reader interested in having a conversation with you. - Save it as a PDF. This will preserve the good formatting you spent so much time working on. - Name the file with your name so that judges (and future employers) will have an easier time saving and referencing your resume.
