You can see dozens of live elephant seal births every day in January. It is the most active time of the year and definitely the best time to watch them give birth. Just a few miles north of Hearst Castle~ it is one of the favored attractions in the area. Free to the public. The live cam is expected to be up and running by summer of 2012.

We have been having some beautiful weather lately. One wouldn't expect great spring weather in January, but in Cambria, it is par for the course! Our mild weather year-round is perfectly mild and often we see some great warm days during the winter months. One of the benefits of living on the California Coast!
