California Valley Lodge/motel

Once again our valley is facing a wildfire. We want our neighbors to know that we will offer free rooms for anyone who has to evacuate from the fires. Please note that the rooms won't be able to be cleaned before you get here, and may be missing some items because of short notice. However, you will have a place to shower, sleep, microwave food, and be close to your home when the fire is out again. We can offer at least one night, and possibly future nights if need be.

Our hearts are with all of you as we deal with this pandemic. Since it seems this situation will last all through wildflower season this year, we understand that most of you will not get a chance to come out here to see the flowers. So, we will do our best to post as many photos of the bloom as we can to this page for your enjoyment. We've had some recent abundant rains, and the bloom is starting to appear all around us. It should get really beautiful in the next few weeks.

We're expecting wildflowers in a couple of weeks! We haven't had enough rain for them to develop early this year, but we have a couple of storms on the way which are looking promising. If we get some decent rains from these storms, we should have flowers appearing by the Equinox on March 21st. Make your reservations for late March and April as soon as possible. We won't have a superbloom this year, but it should still be gorgeous!

We learned today that our former manager, Kevin, passed away. He was an amazing man, and we were glad to take over management of the motel from him when his health could no longer handle it. He was the manager up until 2017, when we took over.
