I wanted to share an up close before/after of the brows on my last reel This was a client who’s natural shape was very straight with no defined arch. I am so happy with the new but still natural shape I created for her... Adding shading is always necessary when we are correcting symmetry or creating a shape that includes an area with no real hair! This will help to add more density so that is not obvious where the natural hair is and what’s totally tattooed If you’re curious if you’d be a better candidate for microblading, ombré or combo brows... Blonde brows are kinda my thing I don’t think I will EVER stop loving blonde microblading, it’s just the best! These clients can be the most nervous about getting their brows done because they are worried it will look too dark and bold or the color won’t be the right tone. EDUCATIONAL POST What is Microblading? -Microblading is a form of permanent makeup that is done with a manual hand tool and a sterile blade composed of micro needles. Each individual strokes it created to mimic the look of real hair. The blade is dipped into the pigment and is also rubbed into the strokes to make sure it’s evenly distributed. This is the most natural form of permanent makeup for the eyebrows. It’s best suited for clients with dry/normal skin, small pores, a ...good amount of real brow hair and young/healthy skin. Is Microblading painful? -Pain level varies for every client. I use a topical numbing cream that sits on the brows for 15-20 min before I begin the procedure then once I’m about halfway done, I apply a secondary numbing that soaks into the strokes and numbs you more internally almost like dental numbing. Most clients feel NOTHING after the second numbing. Usually clients compare the pain in the beginning to the feel of having their brows threaded or tweezed. How long does Microblading last? -Microblading is a two step process and you have to return for a 6-10 week touch up for completed results. After the touch up, most clients return for an annual touch up every 10-18 months depending on their skin type and lifestyle. Oily skin/larger pores, sun exposure, harsh skincare products and other factors will make the brows fade much faster and you will need a touch up sooner. Do the brows look crazy while healing? -Usually clients say the healing process is pretty easy with minimal flaking. It does take about 10-14 days for the brows to heal and for all of the flaking to come off.
