Brentwood Library 03.01.2021

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has made an enormous impact on both the Civil Rights movement and on the ways in which we talk about race and equity in the United States. Join us for an hour of in-depth discussion with History professor Brazell Carter, former adjunct professor at Las Positas and Diablo Valley Colleges and current professor of Afro-American Studies and U.S. History at Green River College in Washington. We will examine the ways in which Dr. King's words, activism a...nd advocacy continues to inspire ongoing activism and social change in our world. Register with your email at the link below. You will receive information on how to access the Zoom event on the day before the program. For closed-captioning, please contact the library at least 72 hours before the event. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Hercules Library. https://ccclib.bibliocommons.com/e/5feba4f304332e45003eb447
