Art of the Day, "Waiting for Dorothy" In the artwork of Brandon Truscott, sophisticated characters are intertwined with children’s storybook symbols that construct visualizations with a dark satirical twist. Utilizing a grisaille method, Truscott slowly builds up translucent oil colors over a monotone drawing. He then paints the opaque layers in lighter areas to finish.
