SRLA is running a marathon distance race tomorrow that Ms Yepez organized (every SRLA team had to do this) because the LA Marathon is postponed until the fall. Thank you Ms Yepez and all the coaches for your hard work in working with our students during the unusual circumstances this year!

Math Field Day Finals - Monday Congratulations to Blair's Math Field Day Teams! All three teams have made it to Monday's finals! We are Viking Proud of their hard work and accomplishments, and we wish them the best of luck at Monday's final competitions!

A message from Blair's BSU: "Greeting Viking Families. The season of Thanksgiving is fast approaching. The Blair BSU is once again partnering with a local non-profit ministry to provide food for Thanksgiving dinner for Project Angel Tree families in the Pasadena Area. Project Angel Tree is an organization that serves children and families with one or both parents incarcerated. We are not able to run our annual canned food drive this year, but you can still help us assist thes...e families in one of the following ways: - Donating a gift card to a local grocery store; - Giving a monetary donation (see flyer below). Gift cards can be dropped off at the Blair High School main office during regular school hours or mailed to Blair High School BSU, 1201 S. Marengo Avenue, 91106 (Attn: Mrs. Law). The Outreach Program Collaborative (UCLA EAOP, TRiO Talent Search, and Upward Bound Math Science) Presents College Week 2020 - Preparing for College Admissions, A Survival Series! A bounce for Seniors, if they take a selfie and submit a brief write up about what they learned, the activity will count towards their community service requirement!

Let your friends know - It's time for Priority Enrollment at Blair! DLIP 5th graders, Willard 5th graders. and siblings of current Blair students (6th-11th) have priority to enroll at Blair, but only during a limited window. For the 2021-2022 school year, the window to take advantage of this special status is Oct. 26 to Nov. 13. Those who live in Blair's attendance zone may also begin registering on Oct. 26. If Blair is one's assigned neighborhood school, do not procrastinat...e on registering. Blair has been growing in enrollment as more people discover Blair and recognize the strength of the IB programme, and space is limited. JROTC Fundraiser - Extended! Our JROTC is fundraising by selling "El Cadete" t-shirts. The fundraiser has been extended through Wednesday, October 28.
