In honor of Women’s History Month, we would like to recognize Vice President Kamala Harris. Kamala is the African American, the first South Asian American and the first woman to be vice president which is incredibly inspiring to many young women and girls especially to our Club members. Today our members mourn the loss of Dodgers legend Tommy Lasorda. Tommy represented everything good about baseball and played a pivotal role within the Dodgers organization for decades. Tommy was a true Los Angeles icon and his love for the game will be missed by us all. Our Holiday Give’N’Go event was a HUGE success! Yesterday we gave toys, books, and food to over 200 families. We would like to thank all of our volunteers and staff who attended the event and helped out. We would like to especially thank @barnesandnoble Burbank and the Panda Cares Foundation for donating books, @abc7la and the Burbank Fire Department for the #sparkoflove toy donation, Comprehensive Financial Services, Providence St. Joseph Medical Center and the Armenian Reli...ef Society who donated toys and gift cards, and @wellsfargo and @lafoodbank for delivering groceries, fruit, and fresh Cornish Game Hens for all of our families. It’s official! The papers are signed, the keys have been handed over, and we are officially the proud owners of our new main clubhouse located at 300 East Angelino Ave. in Burbank! The Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Buffalo Wild Wings are changing the game for kids and teens across the country. From October 1 through October 31, 2020, guests in participating Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants nationwide can help support their Boys & Girls Club. Proceeds from the October Fundraiser will be donated in support of local youth sports through partners such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of America ALL STARS program. Guests will receive a coupon for a free Hatch Que...so with a donation of $5 or more. This initiative helps bring sports into the lives of kids and teens who need it most, and now, more than ever, it is imperative that youth participate in sports for both their physical and social emotional health.
