Dear Parents and Guardians: You may hear from your student(s) that we had a successful Lockdown drill today. Our students and staff are very adept at our emergency procedures. As a friendly reminder, if you hear an alarm or about a potential emergency, please refrain from calling or coming to the school office. As hard as we know that may be, phone calls and foot traffic can hinder emergency procedures. You can always monitor our District Twitter and/or Facebook accounts ...@drycreekschools, as well as, the District’s website drycreekschools.us. In addition, we may send out emergency notifications directly to your e-mail on file. This is a good opportunity for you to update your student's records with any changes. Parents, there are some unsafe practices happening during drop-off and pick-up in the parking lot. Below are safety protocols to remember when coming and going. Our school is set up for one way traffic - one way in and out in our drop off zones. Please go in the direction of the traffic. Please park in a space OR drop off/pick up at the red loading curb. ... If you need to assist your student to get in or out of the car, use a designated parking space. Use the crosswalks to cross safely. Never leave your car at the curb unattended or double parked. The red curb is for unloading and loading. Please drop and go. No parking or stopping for extended periods of time. Safety is imperative - please drive slow and without cell phone distractions. Kindness! Take the extra time to be kind to our staff who are there to ensure the safety of all students. It is our top priority! Thank you for your support and help in keeping our campus safe at all times.
