Have you noticed by now, we are living in a very perplexed and chaotic season. Therefore, it is imperative to keep our ears close to the heartbeat of Father God, for clarity in our lives. Knowing Jesus and He knowing you and I, as our Savior, great, wonderful, beautiful we’re in the House/Family of God. Is there room in our life to make Him Lord that is to allow Him to speak into our lives (1 Peter 5:6, 7; Revelation 3:20)? Doing so, we may avoid disappointments, perplexities and chaos, thereby living a life of peace and joy. Remember this, Father, not my will but your will be done (Matthew 26:39). Peace!

It is with a heavy heart that we share that our First Lady & Minister Sheila M. Johnson transitioned and passed away with family on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. She was a Mother, Auntie, Sister, Friend, Teacher, Godmother, Grandmother, Counselor, and Wife to Pastor Steven M. Johnson, reaching fifty-one years, this past March 15, 2020. Homegoing Services in Celebration and Honor of her life will be held next week Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 10am - St. Peters Restoration Community Christian Ministries. The located is at 510 E Brundage Lane in Bakersfield, Ca. Wake held from 1pm-6pm on Friday, March 27, 2020 at Mission Family Mortuary - located on 531 California Ave. Those who cannot attend the service or prefer a more intimate setting should consider this option. Please pray for our church family at this time and during this time.

Praise the Lord for evermore. The families and friends of BWOLM truly thank God for the opportunity to be a blessing to many families at the Bakersfield Homeless Center, presenting them with 340 gifts during this Christmas season. We thank God for His grace to partner with the Bakersfield Homeless Center for more than 20 years.

In the darkest of times, in seasons of confusion, where things appear not to be working, remember this, we have inside information, God is greater. Stand your ground, victory belongs to you.

Humility proceeds great grace (favor) from God. But He opposes those who are proud. Stay teachable and succeed in in all that God has destined for you. James 4:6 (New American Standard)

What an honor we had celebrating our Pastor and First Lady "25" years of FAITHFUL SERVICE to the Ministry of Bakersfield Word Of Life Ministry. We honor them for labor of love.

Wishing our Pastor Steven M. Johnson and First Lady a Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary. We love you and thank God for you.

What a tremendous time The man of BWOLM had this morning. A great time of fellowship and instruction in the Word of God. A threefold cord is not quickly broken.

What a wonderful service we had celebrating our Pastor's Birthday. We love our Pastor and pray for many many more. We love you Pastor Steven Johnson.

We are truly living in a day where everything that is hidden is being revealed by a Holy God. The depraved hearts of a nation’s leaders would advocate the murder and destruction of innocent babies in the womb up to the ninth month. Are you listening New York, are you listening Virginia, are you listening Rhode Island and yes are you listening California. It is high time that the Church cry out for repentance and salvation for a nation and those whose minds have been blinded by the adversary. As Christians, let’s stand our ground, no compromise. Pray, no time to be asleep!!

Walking by faith sees the end from the beginning. It’s called, VICTORY. Shout NOW!!

A winter’s night, the scent of cherry wood from a crackling fireplace. The sound of carolers singing songs of the season. People enjoying a sip of hot chocolate with a marshmallow. Smiles and laughter with family and friends. The joy of exchanging of gifts. To many, these things symbolizes Christmas, warming the hearts of millions. As God’s people, let us keep in mind, the true meaning of this time of year, through our worship of the one who gives true peace, light to the soul and hope for the future. His name is Jesus of Nazareth. Let His light guide you, His fire burn in you and His words strengthen you. May you and your family find Jesus Joy for ALL Seasons?
