The Enviro-TOX panel from Great Plains Laboratory includes the Organic Acids Test (OAT), Glyphosate Test and GPL-TOX Profile, available from http://labtestsplus....com, along with others including the new Myco-TOX Profile (mold toxins), are discussed in-depth as part of our upcoming Toxicity Mastery Course starting Monday, March 5th - http://ToxicityMasteryCourse.com. The attached image below (from a child with Autism) is from the GPL-TOX profile. The chemical is called Tiglyglycine and when elevated indicates significant mitochondrial damage. The OAT reveals mitochondrial dysfunction too, but when the Tiglyglycine marker from the GPL-TOX is high as well, the overall mitochondrial condition is worse. Various toxins such as chemicals, heavy metals, clostridia bacteria and mold exposure can all lead to mitochondrial damage which can adversely affect health. See more

Ideal Way to Assess Your Adrenal and Sex Hormones An Article by Dr. Kurt N. Woeller Salivary testing is an accurate way of determine excess or deficiency of various hormones. Adrenal exhaustion is a common pattern with many people and affects energy levels, mood, sleep, and immunity. Also, sex hormones such as testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone can be analyzed accurately from salivary tests as well. The profile called the Functional Adrenal Stress Profile plus V (#205)... http://labtestsplus.com//functional-adrenal-stress-profil/ available from www.labtestsplus.com is a comprehensive test that evaluates the following hormones: Cortisol X 4 (morning, noon, afternoon, evening) DHEA Estradiol Estriol Progesterone Testosterone When doing this test there are a few important things to help get more optimal results: If you are male the test can be done at any time. If you are a menstruating female it is recommended to do the test between day 19 and 21 of your cycle. This helps to get a more accurate reading of progesterone. Day 1 of your cycle is the first day of menses, count forward from there. If you are a postmenopausal female the test can be done at any time. If you are a perimenopausal female and have irregular cycles, wait until you have a period and take your samples on day 19 thru 21 of your cycle. Day 1 of your cycle is the first day of menses, count forward from there. If your cycles are shorter than 21 days, it is likely you have a progesterone deficiency. If you cannot get to 21 days you may have to take your samples whenever you can. Here is a video link discussing the #205 Functional Adrenal Stress Profile plus V - http://labtestsplus.com/functional-adrenal-stress-profile-/. Lab Tests Plus is a specialized lab ordering service for health education and information. If you have questions about lab testing and which panel may be most appropriate for your situation post your questions through the which test section of www.labtestsplus.com. See more
