In our drawing class led by Luis Serrano, students studied the systemic use of line and chose a limited number of line styles and repeated them to create a drawing in which their decisions guided them to a harmonious result. Today is James HD Brown’s birthday. Art Division will always be grateful to him for the workshops he ran with us. He brought the photographer, Graciela Iturbide to run a bookmaking workshop with him in our library In 2018. He and his wife passed away last February in a car accident near their home in Merida, Mexico.... We will miss them both. #jameshdbrown
