Art Guild of the Delta

SPEAKERS NEEDED: Art Guild of the Delta is a non-profit organization of 84 members which runs the Delta Gallery in Brentwood. We are looking for speakers and programs to enrich our guild meetings or for standalone events. Speakers don't need to be a member of AGD. We are looking for the following topics or anything of else that would be of interest to our artists: - Art demos (painting, jewelry making, sculpture, drawing, etc.)... - Art tips, tricks, and tools lectures - Art business seminars (marketing, sales, finance & taxes, etc.) - Art sharing (personal artwork, online art shows) We would like speakers to either make short presentations (15 to 30 minutes) prior to one of our business meetings (3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm) or longer presentations at special AGD events (4th Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm or other dates/times on request). Please share this with your artist friends and other art organizations. These will be online video meetings (Zoom) for the foreseeable future.

The banner artists include local artists of all ages (high school on up). The Banner Up! program is sponsored by City of Brentwood Economic Development, City of Brentwood Arts Commission and Art Guild of the Delta (AGD). The banner sale proceeds will be split equally between the Ghostlight Theatre Ensemble and the banner artist.

Banner Up! News: On 11/7/20, the Art Guild of the Delta (AGD) donated $3820 to the Ghostlight Theatre Ensemble (GTE) with proceeds from sale of art banners painted by local artists. AGD also paid $3395 to the talented artists whose banners were sold. This was a very successful year for the Banner Up! program despite having to cancel our in-person Benefit Gala Auction. A big thanks to everyone who helped out during the past year from both AGD and GTE. A special thanks to the Banner Up! committee that included Mary Lamb, Helen Dixon, Carol Ligon, Tom State, Andrea Schwartz, Becky Griffin, and Al Kidwell.
