Some of our Sonoma County Mayors have a good natured competition going on to see whose city or town has the best voter turnout. It's just about one week before the election, so we thought we would check in and see which city or town is showing up to vote so far!! The City of Sonoma is currently in the lead, with a 53.07% turnout, with the City of Sebastopol right behind with 52.68%! The other cities are all under 50% turnout so far , but Healdsburg and Petaluma are almost there! We'll keep checking in to see what city/town gets bragging rights to the highest voter turnout!

Lots of work being done today! Lots of registrations to process that came in before the deadline last night - we are currently up to 300,586 registered voters!! We have processed 79,014 returned ballots, for a 26% turnout thus far. We are still receiving and processing a high volume of ballots, so please be patient if you are waiting for your ballot notification update - you will be notified when we process your ballot in the office, which could take a few days from receipt.

Attention Sonoma County Voters! We are receiving questions about official vs unauthorized ballot drop-boxes. Be aware, we have one set up outside our office, for quick and easy drop-off of ballots, and it is staffed by employees of our office, and is an authorized ballot-box! To check the locations of our ballot drop boxes, go to https://sonomacounty.ca.gov//Electio/11-03-2020/Locations/

Attention Sonoma County Voters! If you are signed up for ballot tracking, and you have returned your ballot by mail or at an official drop-box, you will not get notification that we have received your ballot until we have processed your ballot. We are dealing with a very high volume of ballots, and it may take up to a week for your ballot to be processed. We appreciate your patience, and thank you for exercising your right to vote!

If you have your mail HELD, your ballot will be mailed Monday, 10/5, and should be received soon after with the rest of your mail (depending on when the hold goes into effect). If you have your mail forwarded, you will need to contact our office, as ballots cannot be forwarded. [En Español abajo] Help us stop a false report Please be aware: Someone posted pictures on the web showing empty Vote-by-Mail envelopes from Sonoma County in re...cycling bins. The pictures are of old empty envelopes from the November 2018 election that were disposed of as allowed by law. But some on the web are claiming its evidence of ballots for the Nov. 3 election "being dumped" in California. This is not true. Those ballots haven't even been mailed out yet. Please help us spread the word. Thank you. Gracias. #SonomaStrong #SonomaFuerte
