The Art and Design of Allison Cosmos

While I paint this morning we have having a sliding door installed in our master bedroom. There was nothing there before so it’s going to bring in SO much light!!!! I’m looking forward to a nice view of our pool AND of course the birds!!

Happy 1st birthday Ollie!!! You crazy cute soft silly puppy!! Xoxo This little Brittany has captured our hearts over here. We gave him a bath yesterday and today he rolled around in dirt. His favorite things to chew are Shopkins and horse saddle toy accessories! The fun never ends!!

We are knee deep in a master bedroom and bath remodel 17 days before Christmas and I spent the day painting birds and flowers!! HA!! Why not right?!! Social Nest Working detail.

Lining up the drawing with the painting allows me to layer my colors so I can apply a color beneath the details. For example, I’ve painted the shape a solid color and now that it’s dry I can transfer the details of the butterfly right on top. I use a transfer paper to move the drawings onto the canvas. Then remove and carefully paint my details. I don’t know if I’m explaining it very well but that’s how it’s done!
