Matthew 18:12-14 Parable of the Lost Sheep 12 If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? 13 And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away! 14 In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish.

In chapter 58 of the book of Isaiah, the Lord is very direct to His people of Israel about seeing the true transparent hearts of the so-called believers. God knew that the empty religious acts of the people were exactly what he saw, empty. He knew that the only way their hearts would truly change was by putting their faith into action and helping those in need. Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon. When Jesus says, Come to me, he doesn’t say come to a religion, come to a system, or come to a certain doctrine. This is a very personal invitation to God, an invitation to a Savior. In essence, Christianity is nothing more, nothing less than a desire and an effort to see Jesus. That’s all it is. We’re trying to catch a glimpse of a man, not a program, not a plan, not a system, not a doctrine. We’re trying to see a man who called himself the Son of God. Our God is ...not aloof he’s is not so far above us that he can’t see and understand our problems. Jesus isn’t a God who stayed on the mountaintop he’s a Savior who came down and lived and worked with the people. Everywhere he went, the crowds followed, drawn together by the magnet that was and isthe Savior. The Life of Jesus Christ is a message of hope, a message of mercy, and a message of life in a dark world. BLESSED LORD and God, we come to you, aware that you have pierced our world. You became flesh, you dwelled among us, you saw us in our fallen state, you reached in and pulled us out. You offered us salvation, you offered us mercy. And we are ever thankful Amen!

It was overwhelming to see the support and love that came out to Hemet’s first Adopt-A-Block on Saturday. Over 80+ people came out to clean, pickup trash, and minister to the homeless. 7 churches were represented to form 1 body of believers to spread His love. Jesus says that our Christlike love will show we are his disciples. Do people see bickering, jealousy, and division among you? Or do they know you are Jesus followers by your love for one another? Love is more than simply warm feelings; it is an attitude that reveals itself in action. How can we love another as Jesus loves us? By helping when it is not convenient, by giving when it hurts, by devoting energy to other’s welfare rather than our own by absorbing hurts from others without complaining or fighting back. This kind of love is hard to do. That is why people notice when you do it and know you are empowered by a supernatural source. Thank you Jesus for being our source to teach us how to Love!
