We were commissioned to do the interior design for the great room, powder room, dining, living, bedroom and master bathroom. The design has an ultra modern feeling and uses a beautiful contrast between white colors and wood, which brings warmth to any living space.

Alex Sandulescu was born 2 months prior to the fall of the communist party in Romania in december 1989. After watching many interviews with Romanians talking about the sufferings during those times, many of them ending up in jail because they were not allowed to talk against the communist party, the artist decided to capture this tragic era, in an oil painting called "The communist rabbit". The colors used in the painting are a little bit blue-ish exactly like in the movies from that period. The rabbit is a symbol for the communist party while the lady is a symbol for the society. The woman is dragging her skirt up because she is tempted by the "communist idea", like the society was in the beginning. The communists promised it would be the best social system ever and people believed it, but after a while things changed. People got "burned". The seriousness of the problem depicted in the painting hides under the modern, "sexy air" of it. . .
