New Year’s Day 2021, Misogi on the Beach! We have welcomed the new year with this tradition in Santa Cruz, California since 1976 -- rain or shine. This year, we wore our masks and maintained protective ma-ai (distance). We trained with our swords, and went in the cold sea water to purify body-mind-spirit! Treasuring our connections with Nature, Aikido, and Community. Blessings of the new year to everyone!
