Bassett Unified School District and the County of Los Angeles have partnered to bring treated stormwater projects to the forefrontor, in this case, underground.... This strategy will improve water quality of our waterways by directing flows into an underground infiltration basin to increase our local water supply. Students will also enjoy enhanced athletic fields and new educational gardens with drought resistant plants and trees to provide shade and cooling effects. A portion of the Bassett High School athletic field is proposed to be opened up for public use as a new pocket park. We are requesting your input in the design of this pocket park to maximize its potential as a new community asset. This is the beginning of an ongoing discussion with your community in developing this open space. Southern California Edison (SCE) has been made aware of a COVID-19 Relief Scam It appears legitimate and includes the SCE Energy for What’s Ahead logo and the State Seal of California. The postcard introduces a COVID relief program in which eligible customers may receive 6 months of relief from paying their SCE bills, and asks customers to call 1-877-554-6749. The phone number is now disconnected, but the scammers have attempted to obtain credit card and other information from the community. PLEASE BE AWARE AND SHARE WITH NEIGHBORS!!
