Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, a global health crisis has ensued, triggering a profound impact on our mental health and on the way we perceive our world and our everyday lives. We have all experienced, and continue to feel this impact, as our established daily routines have been interrupted. We have faced the challenging new realities of social distancing, working from home, unemployment, home-schooling of children, isolation, as well as lack of physical contact with our ...loved ones and friends. In addition, as Armenians, we have also been forced to tackle and suffer the trauma of war in our homeland, loss of life, the eventual loss of lands, and the civil unrest. With all this said, there seems to remain a morsel of hope in each of us, a natural optimism that the fear will dissipate, the closeness amongst friends and family will resume, the power of love through the embrace of friendship and family will prevail. The human spirit surmounts all odds. We come together in purpose, in our mission of health and a collective attitude characterized by hope and confidence in one another, a glimpse of a positive future, a chance to resume the energetic community life through which we all thrive. We expect good things to happen, shunning unfavorable outcomes. We come together to forge a path of harmony, joining hands in our unified mission to achieve the goals that matter to us most. We at Armenian American Mental Health Association hope to inspire you to remain anchored in love, purposeful engagement in life and relationships, and the mission of good will. We are resilient. We stand together. We prevail. Sending good tidings your way. Happy Holidays!

The Armenian American Mental Health Association (AAMHA) supports and stands in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Artsakh and Armenia. We condemn the atrocious acts committed by Azerbaijan and Turkey against the peaceful people of Artsakh and Armenia. The patriotic Armenian people are not only facing the trauma of their homeland going to war, but are also facing the potential loss of loved ones. Azerbaijan's continued bombardment of civilian settlements has caused casualties and property damage, as well as lasting trauma for the people trying to live peacefully in their homes. Although these are unprecedented times, as a nation united we will get through this.
