NOW HIRING POSITION: Human Trafficking Advocate REPORTS TO: Human Trafficking Advocate Supervisor HOURS: This is a full-time position. Hours will fluctuate ...based on needs of clients, some evenings and weekends will be required. Will need to be on-call at least 1 day each week. HOURLY RATE: Range is $16 to $17 an hour, depending on experience, vehicle stipend, 5 paid vacation days annually,10 paid holidays plus employee health insurance plan. BASIC DUTIES: Provide direct services and advocacy for victims of human trafficking. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY CLIENT SERVICES Perform initial consultation and evaluation of victims of human trafficking. Be on-call to respond to emergency needs of victims. Conduct weekly/monthly case management. Escort victims to court and other appointments when needed. Identify and address physical and mental health issues. Identify and address other needs of clients making appropriate referrals. Assist with support groups. ADDITIONAL DUTIES Assist with trainings and speaking engagement to educate on human trafficking. Assist Volunteer Coordinator with training of volunteers. Input client data into data management system. Complete weekly and monthly program reports. Positively promote the agency in the community. On Call duties once a month for the week. Other assignments and duties as needed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Extensive understanding of human trafficking Experience working with victims of human trafficking Completion of the 40-hour Human Trafficking Advocate Training Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO UTILIZE OUR MARKET YOU WILL NEED TO PARK AND PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING WHEN LINING UP. MASK IS REQUIRED!!! For complete contactless registration, Everyone will receive a ticket at registration and will be put onto your windshield at time of registration. You will drive through to loading station and volunteers will load you at that point. Please do not get out of your vehicles! Direct the volunteers to where you would like items loaded. Halloween is just around the corner. We are excited to announce Our drive thru pandemic trunk or treat. On Oct 31st from 4 - 6 pm we will be passing our candy f...or the kids. We are in need of a few more trunks to come and decorate their trunks for the kiddos. We are also still in need of candy donations. Please feel free to reach out to us to see how you can help. Student Lunch Program offered by High Desert Second Chance. From October 12th-October 30 we will provide a free lunch box per student. No qualifications. Stude...nt's are not required to be there. Parent's can pick up free lunch box every Monday-Thursday from 11am-2pm. This service is open to all High Desert School districts. Address: 16666 Smoke Tree St Bldg B#4 Hesperia. Complete drive thru service. Tent's will be at the back of the building. Drive up to attendants and designate where you would like your items loaded and someone will load you.
