This afternoon, UA General President Mark McManus met with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in the Oval Office where he urged the President ...to take an all-of-the-above approach on energy and to make sure any infrastructure bill includes strong labor protections like Davis-Bacon prevailing wage provisions and Project Labor Agreements (PLAs). GP McManus spoke with the President and Vice President about the need to protect good-paying UA jobs and our hard-earned retirement benefits, and to ensure that Congress goes big on infrastructure. Since the UA launched our Battleground UA letter writing campaign on energy and infrastructure, our members have engaged their elected officials from both parties but the work does not stop there. We need to continue to engage and do our part to hold our elected officials accountable to pass these bills, just like GP McManus at the White House today.
