Birthday candle lips! The cuing I like to give my clients when helping them to learn how to connect with their transverse abdominus muscle. The deepest abdominal muscle we have and the secret muscle that gives us that flat tummy. An exercise everyone needs especially those with Diastasis Recti. As you blow out can you feel your belly drawing in and up? #yuphysicaltherapy #coreworkout #corebreath #deepabdominals #pelvicfloortips #pelvicfloorexercises #pelvicfloorphysicaltherapy #breath #breathwork #diastasisrecti #diastasisrectiexercises #mommytummy

Brushing your teeth is the perfect time to work on your balance. Spend your time standing on one leg while keeping your pelvis level, draw your belly button in and up while squeezing and lifting the pelvic floor. Do this for 60 seconds standing on left leg then switch to the right for 60 seconds. And viola you worked on your pelvic floor, posture and balance and even got your 2minutes of brushing in . #yuphysicaltherapy #pelvicfloortips #pelvicfloorhealth #pelvicfloorawareness #standingposture #standingpose #teethhygiene #balance

The danger of doing too many kegels is that you can make the pelvic floor muscles too tight. When the pelvic floor is too tight it not only can make it difficult to get baby out but in general you run the risk of having trouble with fully eliminating pee,poo and sex can become painful. #yuphysicaltherapy #pelvicfloorexercises #pelvicfloorphysicaltherapy #pelvicfloorhealth #pelvicfloortips

Being healthy doesn’t mean long hours spent in the gym or in your kitchen. It’s about consistency of your good choices. It’s also about being grateful for all experiences in life both positive and negative as this is how we learn. And finally it’s about the people you surround yourself with. Who do you spend your time with people who make you laugh and support you or put you down and suck all your energy out of you? #yuphysicaltherapy #eatingclean #grateful #pelvicfloorhealth #pelvicfloortips #consistency #makegoodchoices #positiveenergy
