It's time for our 3rd annual Gingerbread House Workshop! Work as a team with your child to decorate your very own Gingerbread House. Choose from an array of different decorating options, from peppermint lanes to frosted snow-covered roofs. Enjoy holiday tunes while you decorate. Invite grandparents and friends to spread holiday joy. Take your creation home along with warm memories to last a lifetime. Workshop will be held in outdoors in the garden. Join the YUM Chefs for our Afterschool Cooking in the Park Class. Every Monday and Friday we will meet at Noe Valley Courts to create something delicious! . . . Mondays 4pm-5pm for ages 4-8... Fridays 4pm-5pm for ages 8-14 . Using seasonal produce, we will make a variety of salads, dressings, baked dishes, snacks and treats. And this photo is how YUM Chefs will return to social media. These past 6 months have been nothing like I would have ever imagined in my life. Between COVID -19 and the light that has finally been shined on the injustices of the treatment of black people with law enforcement and in general has caused an array of emotions. This summer YUM Chefs powered through and we offered an amazing camp that not only included baking and cooking but also included a lot of deep conversations... that made me so proud of all of my campers and brought us together and created a wonderful harmony in our kitchen. I am so happy that we were able to give our campers and safe space to let there creativity and thoughts flow. This card warmed my heart and made everything I did and will do for my students that much more worth it.
