How cool is this? The side of the iconostasis that has St John the Forerunner has suffered from not enough light. We needed to add a fixture and had connected on an earlier project with Terry from Sutter Electric, so we asked him to give us a call sometime in the future when he had a slow day. A no rush, low pressure request. Well Terry called *this* morning to meet up and wire the fixture. What’s especially cool about it is that *today* is the day we celebrate Theophany, the baptism of Christ by St John! At Vespers tonight (6:30PM if you would like to join us) we will have a well-lit icon of St John the Forerunner to show the Way!

Candles and Icons and The Nativity. Special.

Cedars of Lebanon! Actually Albany, a few miles west of Lebanon... Oregon that is!

Months in process, we recently received icons ordered for our west wall. The arrangement depicts two clouds of witnesses, depicted chronologically from left to right. The Old Testament cloud begins with the Expulsion of Adam depicting the fall of mankind. The New Testament cloud ends on the right with the Resurrection, our great hope. In between are our forefathers, prophets, and wonderful events such as the Ark of Noah, Jonah and the great fish, the raising of Lazarus, and the Children coming to Christ. A beautiful story indeed.
